Immer wieder erstaunlich was die menschliche Zivilisation so in die Natur schleppt, völlig unnütz. Eine russisch-orthodoxe Kirche in der Antarktis, religiöse Umweltverschmutzung pur.

St. Trinity Russian Orthodox Church. King George Island (Russian: Vaterloo (Waterloo)). 120 kilometres (75 mi) off the coast of Antarctica in the Southern Ocean.
It was opened in 2004. The church, one of the southernmost in the world and one of the few permanent structures in Antarctica, is permanently manned by a priest !
