Faith is a cornerstone in the religious nut’s life. Without faith, their entire operation falls apart. The problem with having faith is that it promotes mindlessly following religious orders without question.
By Mitchell Olson – RELIGION HURTS HUMANITY
In short, its a form of “self-inflicted brainwashing” strategically employed by a religion. When combined with prayer (the act of doing nothing while asking for something), these become dangerous tools for controlling any unsuspecting, underdeveloped minds. At its absolute worst, it can (and all-too-often does) lead to unnecessary deaths.
Faith relies on a person’s stupidity, encouraging irrational behavior at the promise of impossible results. Take for example a recent incident in Africa involving a pastor named Franck Kabele. Pastor Kabele had faith; tons of it. So much so that he actually thought he would be able to walk on water because of it. It’s important to realize that this task might have been accomplishable with some sort of floating footwear (it’s been done before), but that’s not what Pastor Kabele was talking about. The dude literally thought that by having enough imaginary faith he would be able to do the impossible and walk on top of the water. His faith was so strong he invited his entire congregation to witness the miracle.
